The Gallery at Wilburton
The Gallery at Wilburton was established in 2006 by
a group of mostly
local painters with the desire to bring the visual arts to their
community.
This was something that, at least in a very long time, had not been a
very
high priority for the area. The local schools, including the local
junior
college, had reduced or totally phased out their visual arts programs.
We feel, however, that art is the foundation for all things new.
Creative
thinking is a vital part of our lives. Whether it is designing automobiles,
houses, fabric or fine art paintings, art enriches every aspect of our lives.
Fine art paintings are long lasting and as they pass from generation
to generation they may even become far more valuable.
We hope that you will come visit us and help
us to support the arts
in Wilburton.
At The Gallery ... we hang artists.
