Being creative pervades every aspect of my life. Sometiems I just can't
help it. I see a way that a project can be done and I just have to try.
I see the beauty of it before it is made.
What I feel Art is--is a tough question for any artist to explain I
think. So often the art just comes--there is no formula for the ideas.
You can teach technique and can mold the throught of a child but the
essence of creativity is intangible. My understanding of people's need
for art is something different. People see the beauty of God's creation
all around them and thus want to be a part of it. Want to become it; to
hold it; to reproduce it. Some do this for personal glorification and
see their art as an improvemtent upon what God already accomplished.
Other's, like me, are humbled in knowing exactly where my inspiration,
creativity and skill comes from. I realize that any beauty I might make
on a canvas, a piece of wood or any surface I so choose will only pale
in comparison to walking for only a moment outside and seeing the truth
of God's beauty all around me--in plant, animal, or human form.
